The Volvo XC40's design, equipment and luxury quotient has made it a segment disrupter. Although it is now available in three variants, their relatively high asking price may be a deterrent to some. However, you do get a lot for the premium. The one place where the XC40 falls short is the ride quality, which could be a big no-no for those who are looking for a comfortable entry-level luxury SUV/crossover.
Those who do not feel the need to be badge snobs will find the XC40 hard to resist thanks to its upright SUV design, luxurious and spacious interiors, segment-leading features and the Volvo’s obsession with safety. The ride quality is the only factor which may put customers off and instead choose to look at the competition.
