There's the possibility of a price hike because of people's trust in WagonR. If they hike the price of WagonR 2019 will fail to compete against Hyundai Santro, Datsun Go, and Tata Tiago. Suzuki needs to keep pricing parallel with its competitors. Otherwise, WagonR will be a big failure. ... 3

Maruti WagonR 2019 review

Things We Like in WagonR 2019

  • Multiple petrol engine options: The new Wagon R also gets a more powerful 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine aside from the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder motor.
  • AMT with both engines: Unlike any other car in its segment, the Maruti WagonR will be sold with an AMT option with both, the 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre engine.
  • Enhanced safety features: Should feature dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors as standard, while higher variants could also get a rear parking camera.
  • Bigger than before: It carries forward the tallboy philosophy, but has grown in size. With a longer wheelbase, it should offer better interior space as well.

Things We Don't Like in WagonR 2019

  • New design may not appeal to everyone.
  • Doesn’t get adjustable headrests which are available in the current WagonR.

CarDekho Verdict

The Maruti WagonR has always been a practical, value for money city car and the new one just carries forward its legacy, but in a much more refined package which gets added features and brings a wider set of engine and transmission options.
