Ford Aspire 2018 review

Things We Like in Aspire 2018

  • Like the Freestyle, the Aspire will offer uncompromised active safety features with segment-first features like ESP (electronic stability program), TC (traction control) and HLA (hill hold assist)
  • Like before, the top-spec variant will be offered with dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors will be offered as standard
  • Wider 195-section 15-inch tyres will improve ride quality
  • The diesel version will get the tried-and-tested, powerful 1.5-litre TDCI engine that also powers the EcoSport and Freestyle
  • The new, punchy 1.2-litre petrol engine (96PS/120Nm) will make the Aspire the most powerful sub-4 metre sedan in the segment

Things We Don't Like in Aspire 2018

  • Like before, the petrol automatic variant is likely to be limited to the top-spec variant
  • Diesel automatic won’t be on offer, unlike its rivals like the Honda Amaze and Maruti Suzuki Dzire
  • Interior quality is likely to remain the same as before
