Remember that Caaaaar ad back in 2011? I hope most of us know about that. Nissan Sunny was the first sedan from the carmaker in India and which initially sold in high numbers. The car is known for its wonderful space and comfort. Bought the facelifted version two years back and I have been really enjoying the driving experience. Especially, the way it provides drivability both in the city and on the highways. Since its purchase I didn?t have any trouble regarding the vehicle, its maintenance cos... 2

Nissan Sunny review

Things We Like in Sunny

  • Accommodating 490-litre boot offers enough space for the whole family’s luggage.
  • Good interior fit and finish quality.
  • Comfortable seats, easy ingress and smooth ride quality. The Sunny is ideal for chauffeur-driven owners.
  • Fuel-efficient engines whether you buy the diesel or petrol.
  • Fantastic cabin space makes it a great car for 5 occupants.

Things We Don't Like in Sunny

  • Diesel engine doesn’t get the option of an automatic transmission.
  • Petrol engine offers average mid-range and top-end performance.
  • Car feels outdated when compared to its rivals. Been in the same generation since 2011.

Stand Out Features

  • Multiple airbags (dual-front, along with side airbags)

CarDekho Verdict

The Nissan Sunny is a spacious, comfortable and efficient family sedan. It’s a can’t-go-wrong car that you can use for point A to point B transport and is a good buy if you want a simple, hassle-free car for yourself or for fleet operations.

"However, it isn’t as technologically advanced as its rivals and after being offered in the same generation for over 5 years, it is showing its age. "

Additionally, the Etios offers a lot of the same selling-points, while being backed by Toyota’s famed service network. Ultimately, the Sunny’s only USP remains its comfortable interior.
