  • Hyundai Santro Front Left Side
The Santro slots in between the Eon and the Grand i10 in Hyundaiâ??s Indian portfolio. Except for the moniker, thereâ??s no other design element thatâ??s been copied from the previous-gen Santro.

  • Hyundai Santro Side View (Left)
The new Hyundai Santro is 3610 mm long, 1645 mm wide and 1560 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2400 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres. It continues to adorn the tall boy look that the previous gen model was famous for. However, Hyundaiâ??s designers have managed to tone down the height by using various visual cues.
    Hyundai Santro Rear Left View
The Santro is available with a single engine option – a 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder unit. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the range, while a 5-speed AMT is available as an option on the Magna and Sportz variants.
    Hyundai Santro Front View
The front fascia is characterised by a wide grille that gets horizontal slats. A chrome surround is available on the Magna, Sportz and Asta variants. The Hyundai logo is located above the grille, rather than being in the centre of it.
    Hyundai Santro Rear view
A wide glass area dominates the Santro’s derriere. The rear bumper has a blacked out number plate housing in the middle, which extends on either side to house a couple of reflectors. The taillights get a vertical orientation and are pushed to the extreme corners of the car to enhance the width of the hatchback.
  • Hyundai Santro DashBoard
On the inside, the new Santro adopts a dual-tone black and beige theme. The upper half of the dashboard gets a black treatment while the lower part is finished in beige. The use of the lighter shade helps in making the cabin feel more airy. Quality of plastics used is better than most other cars in this segment.
  • Hyundai Santro Steering Wheel
The three spoke steering wheel gets thumb contours and is nice to hold and operate. Notice that the Hyundai logo on the horn pad doesn’t get a chrome finish, something that is standard on most Hyundai cars on sale in the country. Steering-mounted audio controls are available only on the Sportz and Astra variants as well as Magna AMT.
  • Hyundai Santro Side View (Right)
Notice the sharp kink in the windowline just after the B-pillar. Though this might look odd, it helps in making the cabin feel more airy.

  • Hyundai Santro Exterior Image
Hyundai claims that 63 per cent of the Santro’s platform is made using advanced high strength steel. The company is even offering driver side airbag, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD) as standard across the range.
  • Hyundai Santro Exterior Image
Owing to its narrow width, the Santro is essentially a four seater. Sitting three full-sized adults at the rear is a bit of a squeeze. However, it is a perfect car for small families as three kids can be seated at the rear quite comfortably.
  • Hyundai Santro Exterior Image
Fog lamps are available on the Sportz and Asta variants. They are located in black housings that are an extension of the front grille. Interestingly, the fog lamp placement is a lot higher than what we are used to seeing in this segment of cars.
  • Hyundai Santro Exterior Image
The sweptback headlights look like a mixture of the units found on the Hyundai i10 and Grand i10. They look smart but lack projectors or DRLs (daytime running lamps).
  • Hyundai Santro Seats (Aerial View)
The rear AC vents on the new Hyundai Santro are a segment-first. They are available on all variants except the entry level D-Lite trim. It is worth noting that the Santro D-Lite doesnâ??t even get air conditioning as standard.
  • Hyundai Santro Exterior Image
The D-Lite, Era and Magna variants come with 13-inch steel rims that are shod with 155/80 section tyres. The top two variants – Sportz and Asta - come with 14-inch steel rims with 165/70 section tyres. Sadly, there are no alloy wheels on offer in any of the variants.
  • Hyundai Santro Rear Right Side
The new Hyundai Santro is available in seven colour options – Typhoon Silver, Polar White, Stardust, Imperial Beige, Marina Blue, Fiery Red, and Diana Green.
  • Hyundai Santro Rear Seats
Both the front and rear seats come with integrated headrests, which can’t be adjusted as per the occupant’s height. This can negatively affect long distance comfort, especially for rear seat occupants.
  • Hyundai Santro Glovebox (Closed)
The Santro is also available with an all black cabin with green inserts. This cabin treatment is offered from Magna and above and is available only on cars finished in Diana Green.
  • Hyundai Santro Rear Seats (Turned Over)
At 235 litres, the new Hyundai Santro has sufficient boot space. However, it is not the best in class. In comparison, the Renault Kwid 1.0 comes with a 300-litre boot space, while the Tata Tiago offers a luggage area of 242 litres.
  • Hyundai Santro Center Console
A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is available on the Sportz and Asta variant. This system comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink, voice recognition and navigation. Meanwhile, the Magna AMT variant gets a 2-DIN music system that supports Bluetooth and USB.
